Yesterday we held the Remembrance Community Teas. It was a really nice afternoon, attended by around 50 or so of the older folk in the Maybridge area. We held the service and then served sandwiches, tea and cake.
We built our own portion of Flanders Field indoors, and planted poppies as an act of remembrance. Also as part of the service, my daughter, Grace read a tribute to Eileen Nearne, who was my mother-in-laws cousin.
